Death Certificate Registration Process – Union Council & NADRA
To register a death in Pakistan, legal heirs must report the passing to the local Union Council within 60 days with the hospital death summary or graveyard burial slip (Qabristan slip). The Union Council issues an official computerized Death Certificate on NADRA security paper, which is subsequently used at NADRA to cancel the deceased's CNIC and obtain a Succession Certificate.
